Onboard Etihad's A380 Airbus in a dusty hangar at Abu Dhabi Airport, Nicole Kidman strolls through the floodlit luxury first class cabin and presses a finger to her lips as part of a scene being shot for the airline’s upcoming commercial. With shadows dancing on her face — created by the lattice-effect lighting on-board — the Hollywood actor whispers a line and gazes into the camera before the director says “cut”.

Thats apparently the reason she continues to take smaller and smaller indie film roles too. She thinks it keeps her on the A-list as an actress if shes constantly working. The joke is that being an A-lister is meaningless anymore. Its no longer about being a high paid actor in major films. Now its simply having name recognition - the public knows your name, thats it. Like the Kardashions, Paris Hilton, etc. who are considered "A-list" but their claim to fame is sex tapes and reality TV. Some don't even have that much going for them.
So Kidman has done watches, shoes, water, vitamins, airlines - what else? Bet she makes more money with her endorsements than with her films these days. She use to brag about her big paychecks for her films. But since making Australia in 2008 there has been nothing written about her salary on any of her films. Must be pretty pitiful if she won't put it out there anymore.

I spend so much time flying just because of my job and also because I am a traveller and I am curious about the world.” Etihad like her, also believes in innovation and heading into the uncharted, she said.“My husband always says I think out of the box so I don’t know if it is because I am left handed or because of the way I was raised but my mum calls it lateral thinking,” she said.
“It is just inherent in my thinking — I am not afraid of trying something new. I have never been one of those people who chooses not to do something because of fear.

It's apparent she demands orb spend time analyzing her also, so she's always ready with a quote from him. I've never heard any celebrity talk more about themselves than her. As if anyone cares.....she is pathologically narcissistic. Not that we haven't known that for years.

Til summer comes around
...patently rips off from...
And Long Hot Summer...
...rips off from not just ONE...but from what I hear....THREE songs...
The Police -Dont stand so close to me
Eddie Money- Take me Home Tonight
Greg Kihn band- The Breakup song
...there were OTHER examples...other orb songs...but I cant recall which....it's been a few years now. But clearly...this is an ONGOING trend for orb. Clearly, for talentless hacks like Robin Thicke and orb...taking from other songwriters is the ONLY way they can find success in the biz.

Ha, maclen! I think he ripped FOUR songs for Long Hot Summer! The opening riff is so "Message in a Bottle" I could not believe it when I first heard it. And Raise Em Up has a section that rips off his own Somebody Like You. That Blurred Lines decision should have him quaking in his weird giant boots.
In other news, this girl is going to see Mr. Eric Clapton one more time in less than two months! A *true* guitar hero. Totally off topic but I'm just beside myself. It'll be my 8th time but first time with a close seat. 😃

Q-I hear other '80s pop influences on the CD, from The Police to Greg Kihn to your version of Santana's Winning. Are you a big fan of that era?
A-You're totally hitting the nail on the head. I loved all that stuff. And I was just in that place making this record. Those '80s influences appealed to me at this stage.
